Tales of a new Broker - partII

Hello there!
Hope you all had a great start to your new year.
If you've been following me for awhile, you know that I've past the R.E. exam, but still waiting for my license. Yes, still. As far as I know, it's coming very soon.
Prior to my decision to change career, I talked to several people in Real Estate business and only some warned me about a slow start, meaning:having few months cushion of money. Let me tell ya, at school they don't really tell you that. They assume you know it. Ok, I didn't really thought about it til those nice people told me and now, I fell it. It's been a little over a month when I past the exam. Not too bad, right? Agree. But, another fact is in order to make money in this business you have to spend money and that no one had warned me.
So here I am, waiting on my license(can't sell any house), spending money with fees, office supplies, driving for training, etc. But, I guess every new business has their challenges and I'm up for them. Actually, very excited.
Luckily, we are in Denver which has a hot market now. According to all the reports I see, 2012 was a fantastic year for the house market, especially if compared to the past 5 years.
2013 will be better!!
